The product line of Supreme includes a wide range of products, services and solutions for transmission & distribution of Electrical Power, application of Aerial Fibre Optics and Design, Manufacturing & Installation of Communication Towers. SUPREME & CO.’s Founder Chairman Mr. Omkar Agarwal came to Kolkata in 1957 from Amritsar and with his two elder and one younger brothers, embarked on a journey to make their mark on the city’s Fastener Industry with a resource base comprising of bellies full of fire, hearts bursting with ambition and minds highly focused to the goal. They were perfect examples of synergy in business at a time when such terminology formed no part of the business lexicon. They were torch bearers of family values, brotherhood and living embodiment of the philosophy of simple living and high thinking. In 1981, there was an amicable division of family business among the brothers and Mr. Omkar Agarwal took over the reigns of Supreme, which ever since has enjoyed the flagship status in the group of businesses being run under his Chairmanship till date. During this period, in line with the tradition of Indian business families, he was joined by his two college-going sons, Harish & Rajesh Agarwal, who continue to manage the Group’s affairs as CEO and President respectively. The company was established as a steel based engineering unit having annual capacity of 3600 metric tonnes. It has since diversified and grown into a leading multi-product engineering unit having combined annual capacity of 25000 metric tonnes of comprised galvanized steel fabrications and a very large range of Aluminium, Copper, Plastic and Rubber Accessories to cater the global requirements of Tower, Hardware and Accessories for Power Transmission and Distribution Lines. Since its diversification into the Transmission and Distribution sector in 1991, Supreme has now progressed as arguably India’s largest manufacturer and exporter of Overhead Line Accessories and related products for Power Transmission and Distribution. In the field of Power Distribution, Supreme enjoys a leadership position with an unmatched range of products, equipments and services being exported round the globe. Supreme offers a comprehensive range of Power Transmission and Distribution line Accessories and products from 0.4 KV to 400 KV which are subjected to stringent quality control checks at the time of manufacturing as well as before shipment. Since its inception, Supreme had a clear focus on the export market. The company started exporting its products in 1972 and has since spread its wings to more than 50 countries around the world. The Quality Management System of the company is certified as per ISO 9001:2000 guide lines. Besides, the Company is certified as per ISO 14001:2004 for environmental management system. Our roots are Indian but our playing field and pursuits are global. We have made successful transition from suppliers as per customers' designs and drawings to offering customized integrated solutions. The company has the design capability to reduce functional requirements to specific shapes and dimensions. It has facilities in-house and access to third party labs to validate the functional integrity of the products. We have also simulated many field conditions in-house to validate installation compatibility of the design. Supreme products are routinely subjected to rigorous pre and post manufacturing control tests and process control, to ensure conformity to International Standards. In-house tests set-ups consists of Physical, Chemical and Vibration Testing laboratories, which are well equipped with state of the art technology and equipments to carry out the routine, acceptance type tests on the products in accordance with International Standards and customers' specification. Supreme’s growth has been fuelled by continuous flow of customer’s orders. At the core of its marketing function is its “Entrepreneurial Spirit”. The Company is continuously working on vertical and horizontal expansion. It has added inorganic components to its blistering pace of organic growth by entering strategic joint ventures in products and fields like EPC Construction, Software Development, Transformers, Conductors and Polymers.
